Stay 18 days with indigenous people during their New Year celebration. You will get a chance to experience 3 different cultures from 3 Thai native hill tribes in Chiang Rai, Thailand. You will be staying in their houses, eating their food, and experiencing their living styles. And, you will see how beautiful, spiritual, and meaningful they are. It will definitely be a beautiful experience.
Stay at Lahu tribe (Jabusi village) and experience their culture. Join their New Year festival which 7 tribes get together and show their dances. Taste some mountain tea and blossom tea. It is believed that tea around the village is the best tea. You will be asked to go fishing and planting with them.
2-6 Jan
Stay at Akha tribe (Maeter village). Enjoy their “Nature-art”, and their New Year celebration such as music and dancing. Get an Ahka traditional massage, and purify yourself from the water in a sacred pool.
7-12 Jan
Stay at Jakeur village. This village is a cultural center in Chiang Rai. Get a chance to help the indigenous people to prepare and join their biggest festival. It is a gathering for indigenous hill tribes.
